In 14 days, Sebastian will be a big brother.
The baby is still breech, so our c-section has been scheduled. It may happen sooner, but at this point, the end date is July 10th.
If it happens that way, my babies will be two years and two days apart. Their birthdays will be 7/8/8 and 7/10/10.
Still hoping for a flip and for this munchkin to choose his or her own birthday, but am making my peace with it. And having a light at the end of the pregnancy tunnel is nothing to sneeze at. How do those women who are two weeks overdue stand it?
So. 14 days. Today we celebrate Sebastian’s birthday (2 weeks early) and soak up the joy of having been parents for the past two years.
I wonder what the next 12 days will bring.
And after that, we’re on a whole new ride.
>Oh Yeaaaa! I'm happy to hear you have an end date in sight. My girlfriend has three girls and the younger two have birthdays on Jan 17 and 19. She says it's fun buying presents for them at the same time and it seems to have made them closer as siblings sharing such close birthday celebrations. Maybe your two munchkins will grow up with the same kind of close feeling toward each other – kind of like twins!Marking my calendar (but only in pencil in case she decides to practice one last flip-turn!) 🙂
>Yeah! Wow! To KNOW when the baby is coming is huge! Scary, exciting, wonderful and wow!! Enjoy your 'big boy' bday. What an awesome ride is has been!
>Their birthdays are so cool. Almost no excuse for someone to forget them- or maybe it's just my dh who can never remember our kids' birthdays. You're almost there!
