Welcome to you all, old friends and new. It’s a special day at Team Rasler: our SITS day! If you don’t know what that means, you can find out more at the end.
Allow me to introduce you to The Team. But first, I should tell you that
Three of us are sick today, and
One of us is busy doling out medicines and hugs,
So please step over the tissue graveyards next to every flat surface and come on in.
We’re a pretty friendly bunch, and we bet that you’ll find that at least
One of us reminds you of someone you know.
—————————————————-
All of us live in the Pacific Northwest.
Two of us were born here.
One of us is Canadian; one of us is American. Two of us are half-Yank, half-Canuck.
Three of us have American passports.
Two of us will get Canadian ones as soon as
One of us gets around to doing the paperwork.
One of us roots for Toronto teams. One of us roots for Detroit’s.
More than four of us root for Team Rasler.
Two of us just want the ball, thank you very much.
One of us is a software developer and one of us is an elementary teacher.
Three of us are students, but only
One of us has homework.
Three of us have brown hair and one of us has red.
One of us has green eyes and three of us have blue.
One of us is outnumbered by the other three of us, unless you count the cats.
All of us love to read books.
Two (sometimes three) of us like to read the words. Two of us prefer to read the pictures.
One of us occasionally tries to taste them.
Three of us will eat pretty much whatever
One of us cooks.
One of us usually says, “No, thank you” until breakfast.
All of us love dessert, but only
Two of us can reach the dessert shelf.
One of us uses it as a reward for doing chores.
Three of us love our cats, but only
Two of us are loved by them in return. Probably because
One of us likes to pull their tails.
Three of us believe in afternoon siestas, but
Two of us can never get one because
One of us refuses to cooperate.
One of us can play the guitar, and
Two of us can play the piano, while
Three of us play a mean maraca.
All of us love to dance.
Two of us have three names; two of us have four.
All of us are Raslers.
One of us likes to say, “Why?”
One prefers to say, “No!”
Two of us have a newfound appreciation for silence.
All of us are lucky, but two of us are the luckiest.
All of us inspire stories, so
One of us writes them down here while
Three of us are sleeping.

If you don’t know what SITS is, it’s a gigantic group of female bloggers dedicated to supporting each other. The SITS girls offer all kinds of tips and tricks for how to make the most of your blog, too.

What a creative way to post on your SITS day!
Thankfully, I am familiar with all the players. It was great fun to picture each one with the related activity or characteristic. You will laugh to know that I stopped at the “one with red hair” and thought, hmm?
I love how it was always possible to guess when One was a kid or adult, and to look at the SITS picture for some of the further clarification.
I heart this so much. And I learned so much. Hope it is not the boys that give you chocolates if you were good!
Congrats on your SITS day. You look lovely in pink 😉
Aw, ‘wendiwinn’ got there first with my math joke. (Great minds and all.)
> One of us occasionally tries to taste them.
Recently, that One seems to have found a new way to enjoy books. (Look, a book!) (Here, read it to me!) … page 1 … (Look, I can close it myself!) “Close!” (Look, another book!)
Grampa’s getting all sorts of speed-reading exercise.
I just felt a connection to you because I lived in the Pacific Northwest for over a decade and my business is still located there. When you mentioned your location all kinds of feelings came over me – I have not been back to Portland in almost three years and just this morning I was thinking about that and telling myself I need to go and visit. Thanks for reinforcing that idea. And especially, Congrats on your SITS day! 🙂
What a fun post to introduce your family!
I hope you are all feeling better soon.
Congrats on your SITS day!

Are you originally from Canada? Me too!!! I’ve been in the states now since 1997, but miss it madly at times.
Loved your post :).
A little late in the day but dropping by to wish you a great and fantastic SITS day. Love the poem about the family. So cute!
ALL of you dance? That’s the house to be in and the family to roll with. What an adorable introductory post! Happy SITS day.
Happy SITS day! Motherhood is something that scares me to the max, but reading about all the fun you guys are having lifted off my fear a little bit 😉
I hope you had a great SITS day! Your intro was so cute!

Happy SITSday, Jessica. Off to check out some more of your blog!
Happy SITS day, you!!
Cute idea and well-crafted as usual!
Happy SITS day! Super cute way to introduce us to your family. I particularly like the line about eye color. It was opposite in my family. Three of them have blue eyes and I have green. I remember being super jealous growing up. Ha!
It’s nice to meet you and I look forward to reading more. Hope everyone is feeling better soon. Have a lovely week!
Congratulations on your SITS day. Sorry I’m so late.
Your blog is very cute.
Happy Sits Day! As the mother of two boys, I can’t wait to read about another mom on this testosterone journey!
Came over to tell you to enjoy your SITS DAY! Following you now, and you will love the community that SITS is. Great posts, great people running it, and so many to meet.
Welcome to blogging! Now, you’ll never be lonely again.
