Where blogging fits in

I try to embrace the philosophy that you always have time for what you do first

Which is why I haven’t been writing here lately.  Because so many of the things I do for my kids, my husband, my family, friends, my job, and even my cats have to happen first.

I desperately want blogging to come before laundry, vacuuming, cooking, but it doesn’t.  At least, not usually.  Mostly because of the fact that I now do them for the munchkins.  Otherwise it would obviously be rumpled clothes, dirty floors, and take-out for me as I tap-tap-tap away on my latest post.

When the kids are sick and keep you up half the night, blogging no longer comes before sleeping.

When you are forced to take off the yoga pants and have to actually leave the house, look professional, and talk to people, it can’t come before showering, either.

Christmastime comes, and suddenly blogging has to wait until the gift-buying is over, too.

But we’re finally here, on Christmas vacation in the Land of the Grandparents.

Gifts are bought (though not yet wrapped), laundry is minimal, cooking and vacuuming are handled by others.  The kids are healthy, the yoga pants are on, and so…

I’m back.

And it’s so good to see you! Welcome back – I’ve missed you!

BUT – you’re exactly right. Sometimes (often) blogging must come after a lot of things.

Welcome back!! And no worries about times you need to be gone. You are a mom before you are a blogger and we understand that. 🙂

Welcome back! I look forward to reading your posts! Your header is very creative! ~ and blogging should be something you enjoy, not a chore that you HAVE to do. It is also important for you to have “mommy free” time. Take care.
